After a lead runs cold, Vincent Hall, an Austin Private Investigator and Calvin Harris, Austin police officer go back to the drawing board in their search for the vicious serial killer known as, "The Ripper". Vincent is forced to squeeze information from a dangerous high roller. Vincent's sister, Emily, and her boyfriend Destin Lloyd continue their peaceful and romantic lives in Austin.

Cain's heinous acts are revealed. Vincent finds a new lead on a possible accomplice to Cain. Destin receives bad news about his future and his secret habit begins to take control of him. Cain takes another victim. Vincent and the love of his life, Jane Russo go out to dinner for the first time since she's been back.

Gonzalo takes a stand and plots against Vincent. Vincent and Calvin make their move against Cain's accomplice, Paul Anderson. Vincent's rival returns from his past to cause trouble for Vincent and company. Cain continues to test Christina.

Vincent, Calvin, and Jane have Paul in custody and finally, make a big break in the case. Destin and Emily's relationship suffer major consequences as Destin's secret habit is revealed.

Vincent, and Calvin butt heads with Alex Bowers, as their chase for the Ripper, continues. Jane and Aaron's relationship hits a snag. Cain makes his move on one of Vincent's loved ones.

Destin's time has run out. The Vincent and Gonzalo powder keg finally explodes in dramatic fashion but results in both short term and long term consequences for everyone involved. Cain's plan is set in motion.

Cain's sinister past is revealed as Vincent follows his treasure hunt. With the help from Calvin, and Gabriela come up with a plan to help Xavier.

Vincent finally meets Cain in a secret warehouse. Vincent's morals are put to the test as Jane's life hangs in the balance as he fights Cain. Emily meets a man in a bar. Calvin experiences violence against law-enforcement for the first time.
