Meet the Bynke family; dad Jørgen, mom Charlotte, the kids Frederikke and Valdemar, and their aunt Clara. They desperately need help, because they are too busy, and everything is a mess. The kids are out of control, and no one is keeping track of what everyone is doing. At the same time, Jørgens oldest daughter, Ingrid, is having trouble with her boyfriend, and decides to move back home. Therefore, Charlotte and Jørgen decides they need help in the house. An idea that doesn't fit well with the kids or Clara. With lots of applicants, the Bynke still can't find the ...

Jørgen is having trouble finding his place in the house as the only man. Charlotte has started on her hunting license, and during a one-on-one class she has too much to drink and returns to the house with a secret that Grethe sure doesn't think anyone else should know. Valdemar is cheering for Jørgen to be in charge of the house, but that's easier said than done. Grethe has Jørgen convinced that it's time to take Charlotte out on a date, but the date doesn't go well, and Grethe has to show Jørgen the way to take back charge in the house.

Jørgen has gone on a man camp, which becomes very dangerous as he meets the animals of the woods. In her pursuit to get Grethe out of the house, Clara has come to reveal many of Grethe's secrets. Frederikke also has a secret, that she reveals to Grethe. This means that the two of them have to go to the swimming pool, where Grethe shows new sides of herself. At night Charlotte, Grethe, Clara and the kids have an Indian party in the living room, where secrets come out of the closet from all family members. As Jørgen returns home from man camp, new problems have come up ...

Jørgen and Charlotte are on their way to stay the night at an inn, when Grethe gets an electric shock during her daily cleaning of the house. Jørgen is sure that the kids can take care of Grethe while they're away, and convinces Charlotte to go anyway. But when Grethe wakes up she's completely besides herself. The kids have gone grocery shopping, where Ingrid has Valdemar spy on her ex-boyfriend. When the kids come home, they find that Grethe is gone and Clara has decided she wants to move out.

The big day has finally arrived, where the family is going to celebrate Charlotte and Jørgens copper wedding. Before the arrival of the guests everything is chaos, and Charlotte is keeping a tight leash on her hardworking family. Especially Jørgen, who still hasn't finished his speech. Ingrid is upset that her boyfriend is not invited, until Grethe comes up with an idea. In the middle of the chaos, Clara confronts Grethe about her deepest secret, which shocks Grethe, who then leaves the party to go pack her things. But with help from the kids, Grethe builds up the ...
