An immersive journey into the life and art of Venice's famous view-painter, offering the chance to step inside Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle and to embark on a 21st century Grand Tour, visiting the sites immortalised by Canaletto.

The exhibition, bringing together Durand-Ruel's treasures, is the focus of the film, which also interweaves the story of Impressionism and a look at highlights from Impressionist collections in several prominent American galleries.

This film takes a cinematic journey from the print and drawing rooms of Europe to the great chapels and museums of Florence, Rome and the Vatican, exploring the tempestuous life of one of the world's greatest artists.
