Abby and Barbara hunt for some high profile users to promote their new website. Jo goes all-in with her secret sparring partner. Delia takes on a serious case for a legal aid client. Phoebe elusively navigates life in two social circles.

Abby and Barbara continue to clash over big financial decisions. While Abby considers reconnecting with an old flame, she also cautions her daughter against becoming sexually active with her new boyfriend. An errand for Gemma brings Phoebe to JD's door, where she's forced to reconsider her priorities. Delia and Paul take their working relationship to the next level. Jo attends a silent retreat and confronts Albert; the truth leaves her stunned.

Abby has to leave town on a family emergency leaving Barbara to make difficult decisions. Jo and Delia try and hide discoveries from each others. Phoebe contemplates life changes when she can't find a job.

The girlfriends rally around Abby as she plans her mother's funeral. Abby's brother reconnects with Phoebe. Delia and Jo continue to snipe over Albert. An unexpected former flame returns to Abby.

Abby returns to Lady Parts but doesn't like the changes that have been made. Phoebe has an estate sale. Jo introduces Albert to Zooey. Abby's father causes a disaster when left alone.

Abby grapples with what to do with her father while making a last ditch effort to salvage her professional relationship with Barbara. Jo makes an impulsive decision that will affect her business and her relationship with Albert. Phoebe finds another way to make money by renting out her house, only to be shocked when someone from her past appears. Delia must face down an important test and Abby decides how to handle the situation with her father with some input from an old friend.
