It's July 2020 during the first wave of the pandemic. Psychotropics and metalworking meet when hosts Sophia Kayafas and Ralf Jean-Pierre visit Fred Tomaselli and Fara'h Salehi to talk about Art and their ever-changing Williamsburg neighborhood.

Ralf Jean-Pierre meets emerging artist Dave Choi in his Bushwick studio for a punk-infused wonderland of art, while in Greenpoint Sophia Kayafas sits down with Damien Davis to talk about Blackness, language, lexicons and lasers.

Ralf visits Matthew Benedict an artist who deals with a nostalgia for old friends and lovers, and offers a resistance to time. Sophia discusses isolation of quarantine with Buket Savci, an immigrant whose paintings portray joyous contact.

Ralf enters Coby Kennedy's futuristic worlds to discover kevlar-mounted sci-fi demons, and then travels back in time to Jilly Ballistic's street art of WWI gas-masks and government imagery. Both artists question our current politics and social control.

Sophia visits Naomi Okubo, whose work explores patterns, fashion and individualism. Ralf talks to Joey Parlett, whose ink drawings are created in a disciplined time structure. Both artists prepare to leave Brooklyn, setting off for new beginnings.

Sophia visits Carlos Vela-Prado, a conceptual artist who removes himself from the execution of his art, giving agency to the idea rather than the artist's hand. Ralf talks to Amber Hany who recreates her Bushwick neighborhood in miniature dioramas.

Artist B.D. White gilds a disconnected, floating astronaut out of gold leaf while Ralf discusses his street art beginnings. Sophia visits Sophia Wallace, an artist whose 'Cliteracy' project seeks to change the way we think about female pleasure.

In the season finale of Flowstate /North Brooklyn Artists, Lisa Corinne Davis discusses art, identity and motherhood with Sophia, while Ralf meets Derrick Adams in his Bed-Stuy studio, and whose new paintings examine how relaxation can be radically political.
