Floortje Dessing travels to the vast taiga of Mongolia. Here she stays for a few days with the 28 year old Mongolian Zaya, who grew up in the United States and moved back to Mongolia when she was 18. She fell in love with a reindeer herder and now leads a traditional nomadic life with her husband, his family and their reindeer. She lives in a tent and temperatures easily drop to -40 in winter: a life unlike her life in America. To get there, Floortje takes three days from Ulaanbaatar by train, car and reindeer.

Floortje Dessing travels to the Vanuatu archipelago in the Pacific Ocean. Here she visits the Australian hippie couple Rob en Alix Crapper, who moved here in 1997 with three young children. On the small Epi Island, they realized their dream of an alternative life on a tropical island. However, this paradise also has its drawbacks, as last year they were nearly wiped out by the massive cyclone that hit Vanuatu.

Floortje travels to New Zealand's South Island for an ultimate "into the wild story." The Dutch Miriam has been living there for 5 years with her husband in a small tent in the wilderness. With their backpacks they trek through the deserted mountain landscape and along the way Miriam shoots, skins and cooks her own game.
