Singer and TV personality Bent Van Looy is found dead in the fish pond of his good friend Tomas De Soete. Tomas, a washed up celebrity, is the prime murder suspect.

Tomas is interrogated by the police. It turns out that hours before the murder, both Tomas and Bent participated in a strange Wicca ritual to have their egos cleansed.

Quinten Schoeters, Siska's nephew, agrees to represent Tomas as his attorney. Trying to make a name for himself, he immediately goes on the offensive.

Surveillance camera footage from the night of the murder has surfaced on the Internet, which further incriminates Tomas.

Overwhelmed by the circumstantial evidence and suffering from a memory lapse, Tomas breaks down and confesses to the murder. But his attorney does not give up that easily.

Exactly one year after the unsolved murder of Bent Van Looy, Tomas' neighbor is found floating in the same fish pond. But unlike Bent, she survives the ordeal.

Tomas' neighbor is prepared to come forward with crucial information on the murder of Bent Van Looy. This sheds a whole new light on what really happened that fatal night.
