Dilys Price becomes hot and bothered when her dreams of being rich and famous almost go up in smoke.

There's double trouble for Fireman Sam when first James and then Trevor Evans need help from the fire service.

Sam was on holiday from the station and feeling quite bored. But when he volunteered to help out in Penny's garden he soon found himself up to his neck in trouble.

When Norman saves the day for Trevor Evans, Trevor decides that one good turn deserves another.

Unfortunately, Trevor realises that what goes up must come down when he accidentally takes a ride in the fire station's hot air balloon.

Station Officer Steele receives word from HQ that he is to retire. Meanwhile, crafty Norman works as a caddie for Mr. Steele to earn some extra money.

Steele has organised a practice call-out. But Operation Blunderbus has to wait when Sam's mechanical chef goes up in flames.
