Enos Strate arrives in Los Angeles from Hazzard county after accidentally capturing two criminals to take a job as a regular unformed officer of the LAPD. Enos' new streetwise partner, Turk Adams, tries to put up with the country-bumpkin while their superior Lt. Broggi must put up with the trouble that Enos gets himself into. In his first case, Enos uses his hometown methods to help break up a prostitution-blackmail case the Department is working on.

Uncle Jesse Duke comes to visit Enos and see how he is liking his new job.

When a noted mobster is killed, and there's no corpse, Enos and Turk must try to solve the case with Enos' homespun knowledge.

During a police protest known as the "blue flu" when no one but Enos is on duty, a criminal seeks revenge on the judge who sentenced him.

Enos and Turk meet a retired silent film actress while they are in a hunt for teenage muggers that leads them to a high class burglary ring.

While at a local bowling alley with other off-duty officers in a bowling league, Enos and Turk inadvertently get involved with a cocaine smuggling ring when Enos innocently asks for a Coca-Cola (by saying "coke") at the concession stand.

When robbers posing as policemen make trouble for Lieutenant Broggi, Enos and Turk help him out.

Daisy Duke arrives in Los Angeles to drive in the Baja Auto Race as Enos and Turk rush to save her from involvement with diamond smugglers.

When Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane comes to the big city for a visit, he finds more excitement than he expected when he, Enos and Turk get involved in a case involving horses.

Enos needs $5,000 to clear his name when a bank robber claims that Enos pocketed the stolen cash when he arrested the robber.

When a small group of counterfeiters take Lt. Broggi prisoner, Enos and Turk must use creative police methods to free him.

A crafty bank robber of many disguises keeps Enos and Turk on the run.

Enos is busy with trying to solve a series of fur coat robberies while playing Big Brother to Hobie, a young black boy.

Enos volunteers himself and Turk for boat duty when a rash of burglaries sweeps Marina del Rey. Meanwhile, Turk is seeing a police psychologist because of Enos' wild and dangerous driving.

When a group of moonshiners show up in L.A., Enos tracks down the perpetrators with the help of a young female singer he once knew in Hazzard.

Enos finds himself in hot water when he gives a ticket to the wife of a prominent citizen. Enos manages to redeem himself when he and Turk raid an illegal gambling den.

Bullets and heroin don't mix - but it takes Enos and Turk a while before they decipher what's happening.

An ancient Egyptian ruby is stolen from a museum and Enos employs some ancient country skills to get it back.
