After the death of his wife, head physician Dr. Ballouz returns to his clinic. But painful memories soon catch up with him. Was it too soon to return?

Dr. Ballouz fulfills the last wish of a terminally ill patient and enables him to say goodbye. In the process, he himself is reminded of saying goodbye to his wife Mara.

Dr. Ballouz becomes painfully aware that there were problems in his marriage to Mara. Meanwhile, Sister Irena puts Michelle in a conflict of loyalties.

Dr. Ballouz struggles to care for a young patient who collapses on his wedding day and receives a dire diagnosis.

After an explosion, numerous injured people are admitted to the hospital. Life and death, love and sorrow, happiness and tragedy - everything culminates in one long night.

The fate of a young educator reminds Dr. Ballouz of his wife Mara. He relives his trauma. But therein also lies the chance to let go of Mara.
