Six months after the Young Doctor disappeared, he finally reappears outside Josh's house in great pain. When Josh attempts to investigate, he finds himself pulled into a time loop.

Restarting their travels through time and space, the Young Doctor and Josh arrive on the planet, Starbux, where Bartok is rebuilding his plans for the Mekkon Empire.

After waking up from a nightmare, John Smith returns to his normal life at college. However, the day passes, his life changes in strange ways, proving that he may actually be the Young Doctor himself.

After crashing into the middle of the Dalek invasion on a space-station, the Young Doctor and Josh attempt to stop this incursion before it's too late.
