Han Yi-han, a genius surgeon, performs a heart transplant for his girlfriend's brother. Later, he gets a secretive call from the director of his hospital.

Seok-ju dies from the surgery that was supposed to be successful. Yi-han struggles to find out the truth about his death, but he goes on trial as the accused.

Five years later, Yi-han returns as a lawyer and takes the case of Ki-tae, his former colleague.

Ki-tae, a healthy young man, dies suddenly and Yi-han suspects on a hunch it is connected to Banseok University.

So-yeon, an idol trainee, visits New Hope Law Office, claiming she is a victim of a ghost surgery.

Yo-sub shows up as a witness of So-yeon's case. He apologizes to So-yeon and testifies in court.

Yi-han confirms that he can operate on Jung-hyun's son. Meanwhile, he meets Jin-gi after five years.

Jung-hyun asks Yi-han to begin the operation on her son as his condition worsens.

Yi-han succeeds in the operation on Jun-hwan thanks to Yo-sub. Hyuk-chul breaks his promise.

Yi-han meets Jin-woo, boyfriend of Sun-ae, Mi-seon's daughter. Jayden competes in an auction house.

Yi-han reveals that Sun-ae has been taken hostage by Jin-ki. Jayden tells the truth about the new drug.

Yi-han transplants Jin-woo's lung to Sun-ae. Tae-moon and Mi-seon have a TV debate. Jayden offers a deal to Do-hyung.

Yi-han saves Yoon-seok from Guk-kwang Gang. Jin-gi attends the confirmation hearing, and the video where he kills Do-hyung is shown in the hearing.

Jin-gi and Mi-seon are arrested. Yi-han tries to reveal the identity of the VIP that stole the heart of Seok-ju. Seok-yeong suffers from chest pain.

Yi-han is sure Jayden Lee took Seok-ju's heart. Someone unexpected shows up at Jin-gi's trial.

Jayden Lee takes revenge on Jin-gi. One year later, Yi-han faces a retrial.
