Diver Dan is perplexed when he hears voices at the bottom of the ocean. Meanwhile, Finley Haddock and Georgie Porgy find a frightened goldfish.

Fish see Diver Dan for first time & think that he is a monster.

Diver Dan encounters the talking fish for the first time. Minerva & the fish help Goldie the Goldfish to get better.

As Diver Dan approaches the ship of Skipper Kipper, he sees and hears Skipper singing (Blow the Man Down). Skipper Kipper is also observed by Baron Barracuda and by Trigger Fish. The Baron asserts to Trigger that a sufficient reason for wanting the gold is that they will thus keep others from having it. At the place of Miss Minerva, she, Doc Sturgeon, Finley Haddock, Georgie Porgy, and Sam the Sawfish watch Goldie the Goldfish as she swims in and around her bowl. The narrator reports that Skipper Kipper has closed the port-hole in time. Baron Barracuda expresses frustration, but tells Trigger Fish that they will wait for another chance to get into the ship. Georgie Porgy and Finley Haddock proceed, each with a coin, towards the home of Miss Minerva. On their way, the encounter Diver Dan, who again hails them, and tries to talk to them. When Finley, because of the coin, makes only incoherent sounds, Dan concludes that the pressures of the deep have somewhat deranged him. Finley drops his coin and then talks to Dan. Finley ...

Diver Dan and Skipper Kipper enter the cabin in which are some of the gold coins. Dan picks up and inspects one of the coins. Outside, Baron Barracuda, with Trigger Fish at his side, closes the door to the cabin; in doing so, he clamps shut Dan's air hose. The Baron locks the door, and steals the key. Laughing wickedly, he leaves. Dan discovers and announces his plight, and asks who could have shut the door on his hose. Skipper declares that it seems like the work of the Baron. Exiting by way of a port-hole, Skipper sees and reports that the door has been locked and ...

Baron Barracuda and Trigger Fish lurk near the ship of Skipper Kipper, waiting for him to leave so that they may steal its gold. Trigger expresses fearfulness; the Baron says that he does not want a trigger fish who is scared. Skipper, floating in a port-hole and singing, guards the gold. Unseen by the Baron and Trigger, Seabiscuit the Seahorse overhears their conversation, then swims away. At her place, Miss Minerva is singing. Doc Sturgeon and Finley Haddock are present. Minerva (apparently in agreement with remarks by Finley) says that it is a lovely day, but that ...

With a small fish, Baron Barracuda lures an octopus into his lair, where he and Trigger Fish float near the shackled skeleton seen in the previous episode. (The magic shell-o-phone is not where he was seen placing it, nor otherwise visible.) The Baron presses a secret button which causes a trap door to slowly descend, caging the octopus. Diver Dan, Georgie Porgy, Doc Sturgeon, and Finley Haddock reach the Baron's lair. One fish announces as much. Doc tells the party to be careful, and says that Dan will lead the way. The lair of Baron Barracuda is darkened with ink from the octopus. Finley Haddock frets as to how the shell-o-phone might be recovered, with the recovery party unable to see into the cave. Diver Dan sheaths his knife. Doc Sturgeon says that the prognosis is unpromising. Trigger Fish asks the Baron if he is still present. The Baron tells him to be quiet, and asserts that my secret weapon has been successful. Trigger, in the dark, grabs a fish by the tail. The Baron yells in pain and tells Trigger that the tail is that of the Baron. Finley suggest that Seabiscuit the ...

On the way to the Bottomless Pit, Diver Dan inadvisedly pauses to tell Doc Sturgeon that Glow Fish is dying from the strains of recovering the shell-o-phone in shallower depths than those to which he is used. Dan holds up Glow Fish and asks Doc how long Glow Fish can last. Doc says that this will depend upon how quickly Glow Fish can be returned to the Bottomless Pit, and sighs that they must hurry. Dan continues the journey. They find their way to the sign-post seen in the previous episode. Dan expresses surprise at its presence; Doc explains that Scout Fish has ...

Diver Dan and Doc Sturgeon are before Teetering Rock. Dan cries to Doc to look out; Doc cries for help. Dan asks what has happened; Doc says that Teetering Rock has tottered and then stopped. Inspection shows that Ozzie the Oyster is at the base of the Rock, and that his hard shell has checked its teetering. Dan urges Doc to see whether Ozzie is injured; when Doc asks Ozzie to say Ah!, Ozzie frustrates and concerns Doc by instead mumbling through a shell that can barely be opened. Doc tells Dan to push the Rock back. Unseen by Dan or by Doc, Baron Barracuda demands to...

Baron is captured while trying to steal the largest pearl in the ocean from Ozzie the Oyster. While the creatures of the deep make plans for the upcoming trial, Baron bites Diver Dan on the hand and attempts to escape with the other fish hot on his trail.

Diver Dan, Finley and Skipper Kipper recapture the Baron, bind him and turn him over for trial. Diver Dan has a crisis of conscience: he possesses the pearl that the Baron tried to steal and feels obliged to turn it over to his Captain since the entire reason for his trips to the sea floor is to find and return anything of value.

Diver Dan survives his crisis-of-conscience and turns the tell-tale pearl over to Finley to use as evidence in the Baron's trial. It looks like an open-and-shut case of pearl-napping until Trigger abducts Goldie the goldfish in order to swap her freedom for the Baron's.

Diver Dan rescues Goldie the Goldfish from Trigger's jaws. Since he isn't allowed to attend Baron Barracuda's trial, Dan is at a loss of how to escort Goldie to the safety of Minerva's home until he meets Skipper Kipper and his old friend Horace who agree to take Goldie with him. Dan asks tells Horace that he's never seen a fish like him before and asks him what species he belongs to. Horace confesses that he doesn't know.

Diver Dan attempts to persuade Horace to become the star attraction at an aquarium, since he is the last of his species in existence, while Finley and Skipper Kipper argue that Horace should stay in the ocean with the rest of his fish friends. Meanwhile Baron Barracuda, with his henchman Trigger's assistance, has broken out of jail. Dan, Horace, Finley and the Skipper immediately join the search for the escaped prisoner.

After checking the jail from which Baron Barracuda escaped, Diver Dan tells Finley and Skipper Kipper than a more secure facility is needed. He proposed to obtain a cage to imprison the Baron by telling the captain he needs it to hold Horace. Horace, overhearing the end of the Dan's plan, thinks that the Diver plans to capture him for his aquarium and flees the are only to be captured by Baron and Trigger. Baron convinces the gullible Horace that they will help him avenge himself on his former friends.

Trigger accidentally locks Baron Barracuda in the cage Diver Dan requested from his ship. Baron is furious when the Dan's captain pulls the cage to the surface and Trigger blames Horace for causing the debacle. Horace flees, thinking his friends want to capture him for an aquarium and the Baron and Trigger want to eat him.

Diver Dan, Finley and Skipper Kipper search for the Skipper's friend Horace, fearing he has run afoul of Baron Barracuda. The Hermit Crab agrees to help with their search, but his answer to Horace's whereabouts are in the form of a cryptic riddle.

Diver Dan solves the Hermit Crab's riddle and he and Finley enter the Sargasso Sea's thick seaweed in search of Horace. The Baron and Trigger knock over the rock that serves as the searchers landmark, causing Dan and Finley to become lost in the thick kelp.

Diver Dan and Finley find Horace in the middle of the Sargasso Sea's thick seaweed bed. Baron Barracuda and Trigger have hidden all of the shells Dan used to mark his trail, and now the diver and the fish are lost in the kelp with little hope of escape.

Diver Dan, Finley and Horace are lost in the middle of the Sargasso Sea, a jungle of seaweed with no paths leading to safety. Finley asks Dan how he would find his way if he was lost on the ocean surface and the diver explains how he would use the compass or the North Star to guide his way. Horace suggest using the flow of the Sargasso current which is known to lead south. Just as the three friends are making headway, a powerful storm strikes the ocean floor.

Diver Dan, Finley and Horace take refuge during a savage storm that rages across the floor of the ocean. Once the storm abates the trio follow the Sargasso Current to Teetering Rock, which marks the entrance to the seaweed bed. Dan and his friends return to the nearby cave to pick up the equipment the diver cached before entering the kelp jungle, they become trapped when Baron Barracuda and Trigger topple Teetering Rock on top of the cave entrance.

Diver Dan is trapped in an underground cave and his oxygen rapidly running out. He attracts the attention of Miss Minerva by tapping on the boulder blocking the entrance. Goldie, a tiny fish, volunteers to investigate but becomes trapped in the tiny crack between the cave and the open ocean.

Goldie manages to bring a fuse to Diver Dan, who is trapped in a cave by a huge boulder. Dan hopes that he can light the fuse and it will burn to a pile of dynamite and blow the boulder away from the cave entrance before his oxygen tanks become empty.

Skipper Kipper is trapped in the brig of a sunken pirate ship and menaced by the ghost of the buccaneer captain. Meanwhile, Baron Barracuda and Trigger plan to use the Skipper as bait to spear Diver Dan with a harpoon gun.

Sergeant-Major discovers a bubbling pit and reports his finding to Minerva and Doc. The learned fish fears that the pit might be the beginning of an underwater volcano and request permission from the mermaid to investigate. Meanwhile, the Baron and Trigger plot to capture the fish and use them as bait to lure Diver Dan to a scalding death.

Doc Sturgeon and the Sergeant-Major enlist Diver Dan's aid in an attempt to prevent an underwater volcano from erupting.

While Diver Dan attempt to prevent a volcano from erupting is interrupted when Baron Barracuda and his henchman capture Doc Sturgeon and try to boil him alive over the volcano's opening.

Finley and Doc Sturgeon ask Diver Dan to be their tutor. The three go to the Hermit Crab for a lesson in underwater flora.

Horace, bored at his home in the Adriatic Sea, returns looking for adventure and gets more than he bargained for when he becomes ensnared in a seaweed that attempts to squeeze the life out of him.

While attempting to rescue Horace from the strangling seaweed, Diver Dan himself becomes trapped, and his air tanks are perilously low on oxygen.

Trigger steals the file Sam the Sawfish uses to sharpen his nose. When Trigger shows the file to Baron Barracuda the two villains are startled when they see the tool flying through the water until it is stuck on a large rock. When Sam swims by looking for his file, his nose becomes attached to the same outcropping. Baron deduces that the rock has some mysterious attraction to metal and decides to lure Diver Dan into a trap by tickling Sam until he calls for help.
