Tripp and Letitia Darling throw Nick a luxurious birthday party on a yacht.

The Darlings deal with the arrest of a suspect in the murder of Dutch.

Nick learns that his mother is going to testify against Tish at her trial. Nick learns of a connection between them and when Tish is vague about it, he goes to Paris to talk to his mother.

Ellen's brother, Chase, demands to know the truth about his sister's death.

Nick discovers a secret about Nola during Letitia's murder trial.

Patrick is delighted with Nola as his new chief of staff.

Patrick hires Jeremy over Nola's objections.

Jeremy gets Nola to admit that she has feelings for him but later sees her with Simon Elder. She tells him he is blackmailing her. Brian goes to church to pray for Andrea. Chase Alexander approaches Carmelita and tells her he is going to the press with all he knows about Patrick's alleged involvement in the death of Ellen and his secret relationship with Carmelita. Carmelita goes to see Patrick and he invites her to his senate inauguration. The Darlings place a mental health hold on Chase but he escapes and goes to Nick's place where he attacks a visiting Karen. Chase...

A month has passed since Chase's shoot-out at Patrick's inauguration. Chase was on life support after being shot by police shortly after he killed Carmelita but briefly comes out of his coma just before his ex-wife Janine Alexander was to disconnect his life support. Janine then decides to fight the Darlings and nullify Chase's will. Jeremy has amnesia or has he? Lisa agrees to consider 50-50 custody if Nick can handle one weekend with Kiki well. When Nick fails to get the will overturned Simon orders Nola to kill Chase or she will never see her brother again.

Kate Scott, an investigative reporter with Scandalous magazine, calls on the Darling home with details of a juicy scoop and wants confirmation before going to press but Clark is the only one at home as all the Darlings have gone away for Thanksgiving. He eventually invites her in and from her prompting tells her details of the Darlings scandalous lives but are they true?

Lisa "kidnaps" Kiki when it is Nick's weekend with her, and takes her with her to another country. Nick wants Tripp's private jet to get Kiki back, and Tripp agrees.

Patrick makes a business deal with Congressman Skip Whatley, then is convinced that he is attracted to him. Karen goes to get an abortion, but couldn't go through with it and Simon spots her leaving the clinic. Andrea finds a condom in Brian's suitcase after he returned with Karen and Nick, and throws him out of his house (Brian went on the trip to have sex with Mei-Ling, his ex-wife, but then backs out - so he got kicked out for no reason). Karen is forced to tell Nick about the pregnancy with Simon's baby, but Nick tells her that he still loves her. Their is a party...

Nick finds out that Lisa has decided to write a 'tell-all' unauthorized book on the Darlings. Nola stabs Simon Elder with a letter opener, finally getting the information as to the whereabouts of her kidnapped brother. She decides not to go back to New York. Jeremy proposes to her hoping that she will stay but to no avail. But he moves on pretty quickly, going to Vegas with Simon's nurse and ends up marrying her. Karen and Nick agree to see each other, but after Karen sees Nick with Lisa she falls down stairs and ends up miscarrying Simon's baby. Patrick begins to ...
