In this half hour episode, Dana's dino experiment goes awry when she finds an abandoned Baby Triceratops and tries to reunite it with its family.

When her South Asian relatives come over for a cook-out, Dana must protect a spicy mirchi pepper needed for her Dad's special butter chicken from some hungry herbivores. /Dana conducts Dino Experiment 618: What does it feel like to go as fast as the fastest dinosaur? The Compsognathus. But first, she must master the basics of skateboarding.

Dana uses a trip to the grocery story with Grandma to conduct Dino Experiment 621: What did the Stygimoloch use the spikes on its head for? /While Dad helps Saara practice karate, Dana studies which carnivore can get past the sturdy armour of the Euoplocephalus.

Dana imagines herself and Cai as cave-people trying to domesticate a Smilodon while Cai deals with her new foster cat in real life./When Grandma takes care of Dana because Dad has to work, Dana is a bit disappointed because she and Dad had planned to transform her bike into a Dromaeosaurus. Grandma tries to step in but her crafting skills aren't quite as good as Dad's are.

Dana is upset when she finds out that Mr. Hendrickson is moving to a new home but learning about dino migration from a huge herd of travelling sauropods helps make the transition a little easier/When the family picnic basket gets slashed, Dana and her family head to Dino Court, where Judge Mom, Bailiff Dad, Lawyer Dana and Lawyer Saara try "The Case of the Picnic Basket Slasher", testing the guilt of three dino suspects: a Compsognathus, a Therizinosaurus and a Dromaeosaurus.

Ms. Currie has asked Dana to help her adopt a reptile for Trek at a local Reptile Zoo/pet store. Dana is thrilled to help and uses the opportunity to compare modern day reptiles to the Archelon, Deinosuchus and Titanoboa. /Dana is too busy doing a dino experiment about how Edmontosaurus take care of their babies to take care of Nixon but observing how the herd takes care of their baby provides Dana with some valuable insights about her own family.

Dana is at Grandma's farm just in time for "Dino Experiment 625: What does it feel like to ride a Hippodraco?". Saara's love of horses and Grandma's guidance help Dana get closer to living her dream of riding the "Horse Dragon"./Dana is trying to stay up all night so she can do Dino Experiment 623 and figure out if any dinosaurs were nocturnal. Unfortunately, her Dad has other plans and wants Dana to go to bed.

Dana uses her time at Grandma's farm with Grandma and Saara to conduct Dino Experiment 615: Who would win in a fight? Triceratops, Diabloceratops, or Kosmoceratops." It's the battle of the Ceratopsians!/Dana discovers the differences between dino babies and human babies when Mom's friend Ashley and her new baby Ben stop by for a visit.

When Dana, Saara and Uncle Ravi go go-karting together, Dana observes a Stygimoloch use speed, maneuverability and force to escape a pack of deadly Albertosaurus and uses the Stygimoloch's techniques to find ways to win on the track./Dana is doing "Dino Experiment 624 - Why does the Baby Brachiosaurus eat so much?" while Saara dealing with a pimple outbreak on her face, an early sign of growing up.

Dana has a nightmare where Saara (dreamed into a Super Villain) steals an Ozraptor bone from a display at the ROM and Dana (dreamed into a Super Dino Spy) must stop at nothing to get the bone back or else she'll never see the Ozraptor again./Dana learns that the male Dromaeosaurus gives gifts to impress the female Dromaeosaurus, just like her Dad tried to impress her when she was younger.

Dana is at the Museum studying Mammoth fossils when she tells Dad and Saara a fantastical story all about the Cave People that lived among them./There's been a big snowfall and Dana, Saara and Mom are shoveling the driveway when Dana is distracted by a Troodon who has dug a burrow under her tree house. It's up to Dana to figure out why Troodon dig burrows and help Mom with the driveway.

After accidentally luring a Smilodon into her bedroom, Dana uses Nixon to sneak it back outside before Mom and Saara notice./With some holiday help from Ms. Currie and her grandsons, Dana conducts "Dino Experiment 608: How Do Dinosaurs Survive the Winter?" and discovers some surprising results.

In this two-part special, Dana creates an elaborate board game called the Game of Bones that brings out the competitive side of her family as they play out what happened when a meteorite ended the reign of the dinosaurs.
