Too Tall Johnson sues Dick Spanner over the loss of height, but he agrees to drop the lawsuit if Spanner can find the family's parrot, Polly, so the detective heads to Ivywood.

Dick Spanner rolls into Ivywood, where he meets silent screen star Gloria Vamp and gets fingered by George Lifeboat and Edward G. Hobson.

After Dick gets a moose head stuck on his own, he's whisked away to Sing a Song of Penitentiary, and joins his cellmate in an escape.

Dick escapes from prison and returns to Ivywood, where's he's cornered again by George Lifeboat and Edward G. Hobson.

Dick uncovers a plot to keep tall actors out of Ivywood.

After learning of a money-laundering scheme, Dick returns to Gloria Vamps, where the talls inform him that the smalls are taking over movie city.

Dick falls into Von Strongbow's jam factory, and then he returns to The Brown Trilby to discover the smalls have taken over.

Dick interrogates The Maltese Parrot; Mae returns home; the smalls continue their takeover of Ivywood.

After hanging around on the bridge, Dick is tailed throughout Ivywood by Lieutenant O'Grady. Meanwhile, Mae East gets a job in a strip club.

Dick spills his guts to Lieutenant O'Grady.

Various hijinks ensue on the set of "Flash Gordon Meets Ben-Hur on the Forbidden Planet," as the talls confront the smalls.
