When accountant Ernie Pitt abandons Mark on his IRS audit, Mark goes to confront him. Mark is found leaning over Ernie's dead body and is accused of his murder, which means he has to answer to an IRS agent and a homicide detective.

The chairman of the Malone Foundation accuses his board members (including Norman Briggs) of embezzling, and then falls dead from poisoning. As the board members are investigated, they are killed off one by one.

After a public confrontation, Robert Stanton's wife and mistress conspire to kill him and dispose of his body. When Robert fails to show for a medical appointment, Mark convinces Steve to investigate their complicated relationship.

While giving a tour to the hospital accreditation committee, Mark finds a murdered body and tries to keep the committee from seeing it. Solving the murder is problematic, as the body keeps disappearing and all of the suspects have alibis.

Sexy TV star Pamela Dorn sneaks out of the hospital to confront her latest ex-husband, but she finds him murdered. A female reporter gets video of Pamela at the scene of the murder, but Mark believes another ex-husband is the culprit.

Executive William Bissell is murdered through an overdose while in therapy at the hospital. Bissell had several suspects with motives, including his wife, his mistress, his heir apparent, and the surgeon whom he was suing for malpractice.

Jack asks Mark to operate on his godfather, mob boss Alfredo Bartolo, alias Mr. Johnson. Al dies in the recovery room, apparently from sabotaged sutures. His son Vinnie blames Mark and threatens revenge.

Mark overhears a dying private investigator say, "Tell Georgia - Jerry Mathers". His secretary Georgia can't decipher the message, and she joins Steve and Jack to look for the murderous culprit in the Walter and Harry Ice Cream Company.

The wife of Sloan's colleague is framed for her husband's murder.

After a court exonerates Bonnie Valin for her husband's murder, Mark learns that her alibi is fabricated. Mark strives to get her convicted without incurring double jeopardy. Meanwhile, Jack helps Amanda recover her swindled fortune.

Mark's obnoxious sister Dora moves in with him while her new house is fumigated. When her Realtor's dead body is found in the house, Mark is frantic to solve the murder so Dora can move into her new house.

Boxer Tommy Bracket is found dead after knocking out champion Mercury Jones and refusing a rematch. Evidence points to Mercury as the killer, but Mark finds that his wife, a corrupt promoter, and a bankrupt gym owner also have motives.

Jack is honored as one of L.A.'s most eligible bachelors, but the honorees are being killed one after the other with vampire-like symptoms. Mark must solve the string of murders before Jack becomes the next victim.

A television show is being filmed at the hospital and Mark keeps interrupting the filming due to their inaccuracies. When the lead actor is murdered, Mark investigates everyone as the actor was unpopular among the cast.

When a good friend apparently commits suicide, Mark investigates a series of suicides associated with the Perfect Couple dating service. To aid in the investigation, Jack joins the dating service as an eligible bachelor.

Paroled murderer Eddie Gault takes a low-paying job at Community General to get close to Mark and plot his revenge against Steve for putting him in prison. Steve tries to stop Eddie and gets in trouble for harassing him without evidence.

Sloan investigates the death of a women's volleyball player who was being stalked.

A woman is swimming in the ocean. Two lifeguards are on duty, but one is sleeping. When the woman is found dead by drowning, the sleeping lifeguard is accused. His aunt, IRS Agent Gretchen McCord, helps Mark with the investigation.

Steve is taking a course from a shy lawyer, Arnold Baskin, who is almost run over right after class. Agnes, a paralegal at his firm is also taking the class and picks him up off the ground.

Amanda discovers a black-market baby ring in a maternity home while searching for a friend who gave birth to quadruplets.

Sloan investigates a series of potentially deadly mishaps plaguing the cast of The Young and the Restless.

Sloan probes the death of a rock star whose wife believes her spouse was murdered by an alien.
