When Irma catches Kees trying to read Floor's diary, she suggests he keep his own diary rather than worry about what's in hers. But when Kees appears to be recording every little moment at home, curiosity overwhelms the rest of the family.

When Floor sees a girl at school getting attention because of a cast on her arm, Floor decides that she needs a cast as well. But her attempts to fake an injury for the attention of a boy at school have unintended consequences.

Floor and her classmates are quite upset to learn that there will be a different volunteer preparing the school lunch. The food is so bad that Floor tries desperately to find a way out of eating it for lunch each day. When Jan and Irma take up the issue at school, things don't go as planned.

The family are enjoying the luxury of their own Jacuzzi until the electric bill arrives. Jan is stunned and decides they must take drastic measures to reduce their use of electricity. But Irma, Kees, and Floor aren't so sure about this radical plan.

A tough guy at school, who is feared by the other students, comes after Kees demanding money. When the guy ends up in the hospital, Kees takes over the role of the tough man on campus. That is, until the guy returns to school.

When Floor begins brugklas, Kees learns that they not only attend the same school, but she is also in his English class. Having failed the class twice, Kees is desperate to be moved to second-year English to avoid being in class with her.

Many girls at Floor's school try unsuccessfully to impress a boy who plays guitar and writes songs. But Floor has no interest in the boy calls him pathetic and arrogant to his face. This causes the boy to develop a keen interest in her.

Jan and Kees really enjoy watching a funny home video show. Jan wants to make a funny home video to send to the show, but struggles to film a funny, spontaneous moment. Therefore he decides to orchestrate a scene.

Floor has the misfortune of getting a large zit in the middle of her forehead on school picture day. She tries desperately to avoid having a photograph with the unsightly blemish, but the school photographer gets in her way.

Jan buys Kees an expensive telescope thinking it will get him interested in something other than playing video games. But Kees and his friends are only interested in looking at the girl who lives across the street.

When Floor sees someone doing magic tricks at school, she decides that she would like to learn how it's done. When she becomes unhappy with just being a magician's assistant, she decides to perform her own magic show.

A friend of Kees points out that scooters are chick magnets. So Kees tries to impress a classmate by offering to take her to a party on his scooter. When his plans to borrow or rent one fall through, he tries an unconventional approach.

When Floor learns one of her classmates has a swimming pool, she decides to befriend the girl with the hopes of enjoying the pool herself. But she discovers that being friends with this girl involves a whole lot of work.

At first Kees is dismissive of the school play, Romeo and Juliette, suggesting it is for losers. But when he realizes that being in the play could lead to a romantic scene with a beautiful girl, he decides to try out.

Jan is willing to try almost anything to get tickets to the football finale so he and Kees can enjoy the memory of being at the big game. Unfortunately the only tickets that they are able to get are for seats reserved for disabled people.

Jan learns that vintage LEGO toy sets can sell for a lot of money. His search for his old LEGO castle set takes him back to the home of his parents. But there the rightful ownership of the toy is called into question.
