Terry Carnation returns to the AM airwaves after a three-year hiatus. But on his first night back, he receives a call that could be coming from beyond the grave.

Terry tries to get to the bottom of the mysterious phone call he received his first night back. When the station's audio file has been corrupted, all seems lost, until a fan offers Terry a backup copy - if he's willing to pay the cost.

Terry reluctantly agrees to appear on a right wing conspiracy YouTube channel run by his former intern in exchange for the missing audio from his "dead" wife.

The search for the whereabouts of his "dead" wife leads Terry to the annual Mule Days celebration in Bishop, CA, where a sinister man threatens to grind his investigation to a halt.

In need of cash, Terry begrudgingly allows his engineer Jeet to introduce him to social media. Later, Al Moreno, the boss of KSB Radio, threatens to fire Terry for illegal on-air promotions, and an unlikely co-host is thrust upon Terry.

Jeet's clingy behavior drives Terry to come up with a plan to get his engineer romantically involved. But his matchmaking skills backfire when a starstruck fan turns the tables on him.

Terry has an ingenious idea to connect with fans and make some extra money on the side - he will host a live Dark Air show at Comic Con. But he has no idea what he's in for when he meets a major celebrity with extraterrestrial motives.

To deal with his growing paranoia, Terry attempts to self-medicate. That night, things get hostile at KSB AM when a former MK Ultra fan takes Terry hostage on the air.

When Terry wakes up in Dr. Lizzie's bed, things get awkward. Later, when Terry meets Jason Reitman, who wants to make Terry's screenplay, Terry threatens to give up the radio show to pursue a life of Hollywood fame.

Terry realizes the key to what happened to his possibly dead wife may be held by someone from his past who has trouble communicating. He enlists his psychic colleague Veronica to help uncover the truth about what Annabelle witnessed.

Terry draws the ire of a popular - and litigious - religious cult that will only relent after he agrees to take a tour of their facilities with the head of their PR that includes a surprising pitch by legendary actor Sam Neill.

When every DJ except Terry comes down with food poisoning at the annual KSB company party, it's up to Terry to fill in for all their shows. But can his brain survive 14 hours on the air?

Terry's on-air meltdown goes viral and his show is picked up Coast to Coast. He enlists Carnation Nation to pinpoint the source of the mysterious audio of his dead wife, which points to a location south of the border.

After a staged intervention, Terry is forced to do the show with his therapist, Dr. Norman Kesden. But an accidental phone call reveals the person responsible for the disappearance of Terry's wife.

After being fired for his involvement in the shootout at a Mexican restaurant, Terry confronts his tormentors, and is hauled off to the Washburn Pines sanatorium. But an unlikely ally comes to his rescue - or does he?

While Terry is "in the hospital", Jeet plays previously unheard calls from the Dark Air vault (which isn't in a vault, more like a box of tapes on the top shelf in the supply closet) featuring Terry's old audio engineer, Reginald.

Terry is back at the mic. Or IS he? Jeet gets a call from Terry's old intern / frenemy (minus the "fr") Wes Poppovitz who threatens to expose him. Complicating matters, Future Terry calls in and messes up the time-space continuum.

After getting death threats, Jeet admits the sordid truth about his cover-up at KSB, but just when all seems lost, Jeet gets a call - from Terry?
