After a storm wrecks the Aquarium tide-pool's research lab, Grant Roberts (Donnelly Rhodes) takes Nicole's (Ocean Hellman) science class to the tide-pool lab to gather new data.

A friend of Grant's asks him to come to view a Submersible show . What could go wrong ???

A BC Hydro crew finds an intact fossil of a fish with legs. When Grant learns of the discovery he thinks the animal could be the "missing link" in the evolutionary chain. Grant takes Jonah and his friend Martin on a trip to study the fossil. Martin's father Don is a famous biologist who also joins the crew. The expedition proves to be an opportunity to study the distant past and for an estranged father and son (Don and Martin) to renew their relationship.

An old friend and a flying buddy come to visit J.L. in the tool shed he gets an electrical shock. J.L's plane has engine problems. Jonah and Nicole continue on with J.:L's friend who has a heart attack. Nicole is forced to fly plane back

A bird sanctuary is threatened by a disease that could wipe out thousands of birds. A mysterious lady crosses paths with Grant

a dying sea otter nurses its newborn pup. Grant tries an experimental drug to try to prolong the otter pup's mother's life. Will he succeed ? or is there another option?

Opposed to logging in a valley, Jonah and his friends take matters into their own hands. Grant is put on a committee as a person who also opposes logging in the valley.

Driven by hunger, a wild cougar descends on Danger Bay, frightening the residents. Grant, Donna, Jonah and Nicole work with wildlife authorities to trap and move the animal while local hunters armed to the teeth are intent on destroying it.

A spy tries to disguise radio signals of nuclear submarines by using whale calls to encode the signals.

In the middle of a thunderstorm, Nicole meets a troubled boy who broke into the Roberts residence.

Meanwhile the nasty supervisor Reid thinks Jonah is some kind of saboteur and continually incites him into a physical showdown.

A former mentor and friend of Grant's dies. Grant is offered his mentor's old job but it means moving to Kenya with the kids. What will he do ???
