Jed struggles to find the inspiration he needs to write the second album, the police turn up at the door when a body is pulled out of the Thames, and Ade's sister insists that she has some stuff that needs going through.

Pep agrees to pay for bail when Jed's charged with possession of cocaine, Lucy asks questions about the investigation into her brother's death, and a bike ride incident leads straight to a twenty-eight day prison sentence.

Taking a job at a scrapyard turns out to be more trouble than it's worth, the lads offer to deal with a tabloid journalist who won't take a hint, and news from Germany suggests that somebody is trying to hide the truth.

Emma insists that Pep has promised to get help with his anger problems, Wendy accepts an invitation to listen to a new song at the reception, and the lads persuade Jed to open a new centre for underprivileged children.

Emma shows no signs of remorse when her case is sent to Crown Court, Alan Clarke announces his intention to dig into Paradigm's accounts, and Jed decides to do a benefit gig in a bid to raise funds for a proper lawyer.

Quimby approaches Jed with some new information about recent events, uncovering a cut-out scam forces Paradigm to make some changes, and Lucy upsets Wendy when she discovers where Pilsbury has been hiding.
