Tony goes off on a series of rants on about 600 MG of caffeine at an elevation of roughly 10,000' (3250 meters) and dissect a Mutisioid aster (Aka "Dinosaur Sunflower").

We explore multiple unrelated lineages of plants that all look astonishingly similar. Midway through, we witness a butterfly three-some occurring in a curtain of Tillandsia. The journey ends when a 9-banded armadillo tries to give us plague, credit debt and leprosy.

Join us as we traipse among spiny thickets on 100 million year old limestone, encountering a cast of fossil bivalves and the unfriendly Agave lechuguilla.

Join us as we see what's growing along a short, polluted stretch of a world-famous river surrounded on both sides by concrete and train tracks. Though the Grizzly Bears may be long gone, quite a few native plants are still able to call the banks of this toxic waterway home. Along the way we'll see homeless camps, remnants of the world's largest piece of illegal graffiti, a half-assed crash course on c4 photosynthesis, headless pigeons and a wealth of industrial pollutants, as well as the direct descendants of some of the original photosynthetic inhabitants that were ...

Join us as we ponder whether the large prints are bear or cougar prints, why people put face make-up on stiffs, and if the tweakers that Northern California is so infamous for have ever made it this far out into the cut.

On the harsh iron-rich, nutrient-poor peridotite and ultramafic substrate of this region of Southern New Caledonia, we take a moment to explore some of the ancient lineages of conifers that have squeezed through the closing garage door of extinction to make it to the present day.
