Crazy Like a Fox

Harry Fox's new client pays him to find his wife so he can kill her, since he's already served 12 years for her murder. But before he can kill her, the wife kills him in self-defense and Harry and his son the attorney have to figure out why.

Harry attends the reading of his rich P.I. friend Tony Chambers' will with the widow Angie. He gets a sealed cigar box with the secret of Tony's success. Inside is a cigar, baseball cards, and an old film.

Harry' old flame, now a nun, asks him to learn why a priest left a prostitute $300,000 in insurance money.

Harry's goddaughter Liz is marrying Bill until Harry's P.I. friend reveals that he been hired by Bill's wife. Harry convinces Liz to cancel the wedding. The wife is hiding something and then somebody drops a boat on Harry and Bill.

Harrison, his family and Harry are on vacation in an RV when Harry thinks he sees a murder being committed in another RV. When he tries to investigate he finds it difficult to prove that anyone at all has been murdered.

Harry is temporarily working out of Harrison's office. A man asks for Mr. Fox and drops dead. He supposedly stole millions from people and everybody suspects Harrison to be his lawyer. It turns out that he was actually there to see Harry.

At a poker game, waiter Gino shows Harry a bad $20 bill he got as a tip. It leads to a counterfeit ring. Tired of sharing his secretary, Harrison hires Miss Buckles (Carol Kane) to work for Harry for a week.

Harry is hospitalized after a car chase. His roommate is killed and he witnesses it thru a drug induced haze. Nobody believes him other than Cindy and she pulls Harrison into investigating.

Harrison's client Leona is facing a challenge to her competency in managing her fortune. It doesn't help that she claims an UFO had caused a fire at her estate. He convinces his dad to investigate with his eager son Josh.

It's Harry's surprise birthday party. His friend Herb Spencer is supposed to bring the present but he's been murdered. Harry investigates and ends up flying to L.A. with Harrison.

Harrison finds a dog in his office. It's a drug sniffing dog trained by his former client Connie Olsen. She has been taken by thugs and they're looking for the dog. Harrison gives the dog to his son as he tracks down Connie.

Cindy's irresponsible brother Skip (George Clooney) has been organizing boat tours and is in town to chase down a delinquent client. He is lured to a houseboat and drugged. He wakes up to a frame up for the murder of that client.

Harrison hires his dad to guard his successful client and friend Paul Burns from the mob due to his upcoming book release. Paul goes missing and the case becomes an inside job to promote the book. Then Paul actually turns up murdered.
