A special unit of the Jersey City (NJ) Police Department sets up a "sting" in various sections of the city to catch thieves who break into parked trucks. They leave an apparently disabled trailer truck parked on a residential street and set up surveillance on the truck to catch thieves breaking into it. In another case, police stop a suspicious man leaving a supermarket with bags of items that he apparently didn't pay for, and when he's stopped he claims that he paid for it all but "just threw the receipts away".

(1) A woman reports that her ex-boyfriend assaulted her and pulled a knife on her. Officers can't find him, but later that night she reports that he came to her apartment and assaulted her again, but then he fell out a window trying to break into the apartment after she locked him out. (2) Officers get a report of a man involved in a fight with another man, but when they arrive at the scene, they discover the man lying injured in the middle of the street.

Officers of the Tucson PD prepare to raid a ranch in an isolated desert area outside of town where they suspect several thousand pounds of marijuana are being stored; an officer responds to reports of an argument in the parking lot of an apartment complex and finds a participant he wasn't expecting; officers on night watch are dispatched to investigate a report of a possible burglary at a local school.
