While Lex attempts to maintain control outside the cordon, he learns that a young woman that had close contact with an infected patient, is unaccounted for. With limited resources available, Lex enlists help from Jake.

Controversial videos depicting chaos inside the cordon prompt Lex to request reinforcements. Katie faces the desperate parents of a student. Teresa is shaken by a robbery at her mother's store.

As the situation grows more dire, Lex's frustration builds as he becomes increasingly conflicted by the messages of false hope he's being forced to send to the public.

Lommers orders Lex to start risky food shipments to the Cordon. Jake learns that a gang war is looming within the Cordon. And they have set their sights on the food supply.

With the sweltering heat hitting the triple digits and life outside the cordon returning to normal, Lex moves full steam ahead in an attempt to uncover the truth behind a potential government cover-up.

With the cordon now under the purview of the National Guard, Lex finds himself clashing with Captain Lee Scott. Inside the cordon, Jana steps up after the data recovery center comes under attack.

A major breakthrough brings Dr. Cannerts closer to finding a cure for the virus. Jana and Suzy plan to escape the cordon through an underground tunnel system.

As tensions reach a fever pitch inside the cordon, mobs of angry protesters take to the streets in an attempt to break free.

When Teresa goes into labor, Jana, Suzy and Sam scramble to turn Bitscan into a delivery room. Lex is concerned after a sudden shift in Dr. Lommers behavior.

A failed plan leads to a clash between Lex and Leo. Jana considers her options when rumours of a way out of the cordon begin to spread.

As Jana, Sam, and Suzy plot their escape, Jake considers his options. Dr. Cannerts is in danger.

Lex carefully plans his next steps. Jana, Suzy, Teresa and Xander make their dangerous escape out of the cordon. Dr. Cannerts and Jake make a breakthrough discovery.
