Joey gets a drum set for his birthday and Judy has the idea to start a band with Josh playing their guitars. Calling themselves the Chimp Mates a man driving by hears them and invites them on a children's talent TV show.

While the parents Graham are away their kids, along with Josh, stay at hotel run by a family friend. The woman has two dodgy nephews, the place may be haunted, and the children have smuggled Alice which creates chaos.

While touring a wax museum Alice runs off on her own. The children pretend to be wax figures to look for the missing chimp. Also hiding is a man pretending to be Fidel Castro to rob the place.

Josh has been practicing at the track and is primed to win his 1st race. But his three rivals have other ideas. Mr. Graham doesn't secure Alice in her pen and she heads to the race to save the day.

Uncle Septimus, who left Alice with the Grahams, returns to announce the chimp is to now live at a zoo. The Grahams with Alice visit the facility to see how their pet likes the place. But Septimus has an ulterior motive.
