Annie is a single career woman, searching for love in NY City. After a long dry spell, she decides to take a chance on a sexy homicide detective, that she met in the subway. But his hobby conflicts with Annie's soft hearted nature.

The group decides to play truth or dare. And they end getting a dare. Elliot is suppose to strip down to his skivvies and order a drink at the bar. Didi has to go to a funeral and take a picture of her there. Roger has to get a massage from a man. And Annie after declining to answer if she's attracted to one of them is told to ask someone out.

Annie is having a terrible week and Didi has no date for her birthday, so they decide to take the day off and go to a luxury hotel, using a discount coupon Annie was saving for her honeymoon.

Annie is charmed by perfect British suitor Gregg, until a glimpse of a body "defect". Willing to get surgery, Gregg expects her to reciprocate to meet his beauty standards. Elliot has reoccurring murderous dreams about Roger.

Annie stays home sick, but is entangled in everyone else's problems - Rog's hypochondria, Didi's boyfriend troubles, Elliot's story submission, and a possibly dead next door neighbor.

To fulfill his dying Grandmother's wish to see him married, Roger proposes to Annie. But is even a pretend wedding too much of a commitment?

When Didi throws a rent party, a secret from her past causes Annie questions their friendship. Tired of Gail's focus on her career, Elliot decides to break out and flirt. Roger is smothered by his latest conquest.

Convinced his narrow escape from a mattress fire is a sign from God to mend his ways, Roger sets his sights on Annie. Charlotte Rae makes a cameo appearance as Annie's bitter client.

The gang sets each other up on blind dates. Annie tries her luck with a smooth operator, matching Roger with a nice old-fashioned girl. Didi finds herself with a date who is unconcerned with outer beauty. With Gail's permission, Didi surprises Elliot with a special lady.

A subway encounter brings Peter back into Annie's life. Everything is great until a friendly boxing match with Roger snowballs into a macho competition. Elliot explores couples counseling, while Didi peddles cosmetics.

A childhood diary discovery inspires Annie to call into a radio show for a date with a mysterious stranger - "Restless in Chelsea". Elliot and Roger plan a surprise birthday party while Annie strikes out to fulfill her bucket list.

Annie's latest challenging client turns out to be the new boss working undercover. The three co-workers scramble to keep their jobs, under Mr. Barbour's strict office policies. Annie and Roger are pushed on principles to a breaking point.

After Didi gets an assistant job with a famous playwright, Annie meets handsome actor Matt. Elliot begs Didi to pass along his play to her boss. It's role reversal when Roger is enthralled with an independent career woman.

Matt plans a special Valentine's Day dinner for Annie in her apartment. A drunk and distraught Elliot shows up after being served with divorce papers. On an anti-Valentine's Day date as friends, Didi and Roger attempt to avoid his stalker.
