Holly follows an employment opportunity in Paris, but when the job falls through she finds herself pursuing a waitress position at the Cafe Americain.

Holly asks to be made assistant manager, but soon finds that she's in over her head when Margaret rushes off to visit a sick friend.

Fabiana decides to hide out from her boyfriend at Holly's apartment, but her flamboyant nature makes her very conspicuous.

Margaret insists that Holly learns to speak French, so she gets private lessons from Marcel.

Holly tries to hide her birthday from her new friends, not realizing that she shares her birthday with Fabiana.

Margaret's integrity is questioned when she claims to have been the model in a famous photograph.

Holly gets jealous when Marcel begins dating Fabiana.

Fabiana gets a role in a movie and Carlo lands a TV commercial. Meanwhile, Marcel teaches Holly to drive a stick shift.

Holly meets resistance when she decides to throw a Thanksgiving feast at the cafe.

Steve is enlisted to show a honcho from his corporate office around Paris, so Holly agrees to help him out.

When cornered by an immigration officer, Holly panics and tells him that she's Margaret's daughter.

When Holly is unable to return home for Christmas, Marcel invites her to spend the holiday with his family.

Holly is conflicted and Marcel is hurt when she agrees to go on a date with a hunky customer.

With such an immense buildup to her first date with Marcel, Holly refuses to cancel even though she has the flu. Meanwhile, Madame Ybarra finds herself the butt of jokes in Doonesbury comics.

Holly gets a young American a job in the restaurant, but she soon finds the girl encroaching on her life.

Holly, Marcel, Steve, Margaret and Madame Ybarra each play the dating game. Meanwhile, Carlo attempts to deal with his insane jealousy.

Marcel fears that his younger brother will win Holly's heart.

Fabiana starves herself in preparation for a fashion show.
