Maggie Fobes arrive to join the new unit on the day that Jenny Kenwright, a member of the team, is killed while investigating a Russian trawler anchored in the Estuary. While Fred avenges Jenny's death in a car and mouse game with the Russians, Maggie makes a mess of her first assignment - a run-of-the-mill adultery case.

When a cat burglar known as The Black Magic Man breaks into a Special Branch 'safe house' where two illegal immigrants are being held for questioning, Maggie finds herself on trial - but has to solve more than one mystery.

A death on a motorway leads Maggie and the Eyes team to a man on the run, in fear of his life - a devious plot involving the Chinese and forged bearer bonds.

Investigating the mysterious death of a man found floating in the river, Pru finds that an official 'block' has been put on the case. despite this, she exposes a secret CIA deal - and discovers who her friends are.

Is Flo's long dead husband still alive? Flo's thinks she has just seen him, but he was supposed to have perished in a submarine accident, forty years ago. Maggie is put on the case - and learns the hard way that old killers never die.

Clairvoyant Madame Crystal asks Pru to find the location of a 'vision' - a place where she is convinced she is going to die. Pru discovers that other people are searching for it - and that sometimes there really is a pot of gold at the rainbow's end.

When Fred is assigned to guard the priceless Strathmar pendant, awaiting the arrival of a rich client, the jewel turns out to be a red herring - and before the case is over, Fred begins to doubt her sanity.

Acting as 'best man' at a friend's registry office wedding. Fred stumbles across a marriage racket run by an unscrupulous organisation for Asian girls seeking EEC citizenship - she becomes even more alarmed when her Dutch 'boyfriend' is murdered,

A wealthy client asks the Eyes team to follow an ex-con with his daughter has become involved. Fred is assigned to follow her, and unmasks a blackmail operation based on clients' personal information stored into a computer.

Pru is asked to discover who stole an old Debussy manuscript from an exclusive piano emporium. She snares a young music buff - a member of a family of thieves who are not all harmless as he is.

When a woman client asks the Eyes team to follow her husband, it seemed a perfectly straightforward assignment. But it leads Maggie, Pru and Fred into dark and dangerous waters - and a case of murder.

When a black businessman finds some cocaine among a consignment of sugar he has imported from the Caribbean, it leads Maggie to a secret society from the island, whose voodoo magic becomes a threat to her life.
