In 1932, Byomkesh investigates the mysterious killings in the neighborhood of Chinatown - notorious for its drug infestation and now for the frequent murders of poor laborers living there.

Random people are being murdered and that too in the midst of all the hustle and bustle on Calcutta's busy roads. How? Why? Byomkesh Bakshi investigates along with the ever-trustworthy Ajit.

A story about the theft of a family heirloom, but with a twist. The thief, Digindranarayan Roy, challenges Byomkesh Bakshi to locate the diamond which he's hidden somewhere in his house. A cat and mouse game ensues.

Byomkesh meets Mohan, one of Ajit's school friends, whose patient, Nand Dulal Babu, has a weird addiction to Tarantula's fluid, which is gradually damaging his health.
