Opening episode. Tom Hudson tries to get into the acting school. Paulette Douglas refuses to take her clothes off for a photo shoot despite her mother Grace implying it's okay. Kevin Grant has an unhappy marriage with Marjorie. Kevin gives Rachel Holt the part in his movie instead of Diane Waring and explains why.

Diane and Karen compete for a role that requires horseback riding. This leads to an accident.

An aging actress, while making a "comeback" at Century Studios, uses the job to get some retribution against the former Studio Head, who is Sylvia's father.

A young actress loses a part to Diane Waring, but agrees to stay on and work for Diane.

The studio budget must be reduced, so says Johnny Churchill (played by Time Tunnel's Robert Colbert), and the acting school is an unfortunate prime target.

A director who is arrogant and pompous comes to the studio to direct a movie. And he rubs some people the wrong way like Tom who wants to audition for him but the man doesn't like his look. And Davey whom he wants to be in the movie even though he has no desire to act. But when the man is shot, the police investigate and go through everyone who may have had a grudge against him.

A famous director is coaxed out of retirement.

The star actor of the movie is making his move on Paulette, to the chagrin of her boyfriend. Meanwhile, there is real doubt as to whether a desired stunt in the movie can be safely executed.

A famous actor is hired. He has a past with Laura Deane. He tries to convince her first to return to NY with him, then to return to acting.

A major studio star will only make Bracken's new movie if his daughter, a beautiful unknown also stars in it as well. As Kevin reluctantly takes the "package deal" - the film runs anything but smoothly.

Young promising black director Floyd Emmons starts seeing Rachel Holt. But this could come at a cost neither is willing to pay.

Kevin Grant's wife Marjorie takes a job in the film industry, leading to all sots of problems for the Grants.

Martin Sheen portrays a comedian trying to play a serious role in a movie. His father (Jack Albertson) shows up on the set, creating additional complications.
