Yoshioka Futaba has a few reasons why she wants to "reset" her image & life as a new high school student. Because she's cute, she was ostracized by her female friends in junior high, and because of a misunderstanding, she couldn't get her feeling across to the one boy she has ever liked, Tanaka-kun. Now in high school, she is determined to be as unladylike as possible so that her friends won't be jealous of her. While living her life this way contentedly, she meets Tanaka-kun again, but he now goes under the name of Mabuchi Kou. He tells her that he felt the same way ...

With memories from middle school, Futaba has continued to socially superficial with her friends in high school.

Teacher Tanaka is now known to be the older brother of Kou, Futaba finally hears the story of their family and why Kou didn't come to the meeting place for their middle school festival.

Futaba with Kou become class representative through what they must participate in leader camp, together with team are Makita Yuri, Murao Shuko and Kominato Aya who are in events committee.

Futaba starts to care about Kou. Yuri tell Shuko that she found out by chance that Shuko has feelings for Tanaka Yoichi. While facing the thought of each, the team begins to attend the mind gradually through the training.

Yuri confesses that she has fallen in love with Kou to Futaba. Futaba does not want to hurt Yuri but cannot reconcile that feeling with her own love for Kou, and is unable to decide what to do about her own feelings.

Futaba comes to realize that she also loves Kou. Although he is different than from middle school, she has feelings for this new Kou as well.

Futaba finally is able to work up the courage to tell Yuuri and Murao how she feels about Kou; in turn, Murao admits she is in love with their teacher, Mr. Tanaka.

Futaba becomes worried about Kou after he says that caring for things is a lot of trouble. As she tells Yuri about his words, Shuuko comes up and tells them that Kou has failed his midterms.
