Ten talented glassblowers use old photographs from their past for inspiration when they are challenged to create a work of art that reveals a snapshot of who they are. One will be named the day's Best in Blow. Another will be asked to leave the hot shop.

Contestants have just four hours to great a food related sculpture in glass.

Contestants have four hours to design and craft a unique light fixture.

Dream up a robot that a robot expert has never conceived of. Then cast it in glass. In 5 hours.

FInally a routine challenge, 4 hours to create a drinking glass and decanter. But it has to be functional and innovative.

In a whimsical twist the artisan are challenged to recreate and super size an ordinary bathroom object.

The artists work in pairs to create a work of art that that explores duality, e.g. light and dark.

The four remaining artisans are challenged to create an exceptional botanical themed blown glass work of art. With two assistants and five and a half hours to work they'll need to be exceptional just to stay in the competition.

Aproacing the final the challenge become more difficult. The artist must represent a body in motion in just four hours but again with two assistants.

The technical master challenges the creative master in the final of the competition. These artists have 8 hours and three professional Corning assistants to fill half the gallery with an immersive experience.
