Anthony Hopkins, a preacher in Alabama, has the perfect family until his wife disappears. Secrets then come forward in a story of horror and perversion.

Career criminal Gary Evans is suspected to be behind the disappearance of one of his former associates. After an intense manhunt, Evans is apprehended in Vermont and confesses to a life filled with crime and killing, with five murders to his credit.

Kendall Francois is a john who frequents the Poughkeepsie, NY streets where he lives. For over two years, he picks up and murders eight prostitutes and is only discovered when the would-be ninth victim escapes and reports him to police.

Stacey Castor poisons her first husband with antifreeze and gets away with it. She is only caught after killing her second husband the same way and attempting to murder her daughter and frame her for both deaths.

Police find five bodies of young women, all strangled with a particular slipknot. Eventually they tie Paul Durousseau to the murders through DNA samples, fiber analysis, and phone records from the cab he drove.

On 3/3/1987, Kathy Odom is murdered in her Houston home. Her case grows cold but her father, Frank Martin, refuses to rest until her killer is caught. Nearly 15 years later, the murderer is arrested and the result is anything but relative.

Police find a stolen, blood-stained SUV across from missing Susan McFarland's home. Evidence links both a suspicious man and her husband, Richard, to it. When police finally find Susan's body, they tie it to Richard via a left-behind candy wrapper.

In 1973, Pasadena police receive a phone call from a young man who says he has murdered Dean Corll. In response to the information, police uncover the bodies of 27 boys and learn that Corll's killer was also his accomplice.

California neurologist, Dr. Richard Pryde Boggs, calls paramedics when "myocarditis" claims one of this patients, Melvin Eugene Hanson, while in his office. Hanson had informed friends he has a serious heart condition and recently relocated to be under Dr. Boggs' personal care. On April 16, 1988, when EMT/police arrive at the scene, they become suspicious at once, since this doctor is not a cardiologist, sees the patient unusually early in the morning, should have sent Hanson an ambulance and met him at an ER, rather than advising he drive to an unequipped office. ...
