In the home of "De Boer" family, a man has been killed. Gerard forces his wife Deborah to keep this a secret. In the mean time, friends and family want to arrange an event celebrating the 20th anniversary of Gerard and Deborah.

Kim, the daughter begins to question if her parents are happy with their marriage. Her brother Bas is distracted with completely different things. It all becomes too much for Kim and she seeks refuge in narcotics.

Deborah looks for a way out, to get rid of her husband Gerard, who treats her aggressively. Kim is no longer herself and neighbor Aagje notices that she is on cocaine. Meanwhile, Deborah confides in her friend Jacqueline.

Deborah's nightmares keep getting worse. Bas, their son is distracted in the gym and daughter Kim is found on the street at night by Jacqueline and Barry. Just when Aagje is interfering too much, with the situation.

Herman finds Kim completely passed out and offers to help her. What's going on in the neighborhood? Suddenly the police are at the door of the De Boer house. Deborah confides in Bas, who in turn confides in his mother.

Jacqueline suggests the idea of organizing a masquerade for Deborah. Valerie and Herman have a romantic date in De Warande. Bas and Joris discuss the party for Deborah during a dinner date. Barry makes a shocking revelation to Deborah.

Kim enjoys her new love Lex. Bas and Joris pick up Deborah, to go to the masquerade. Organized for her in the castle of their town, Helmond. Deborah enjoys the night to the fullest. When gets home, a big surprise is waiting for her.
