A truck driver from Wakefield wants to create an ambitious flower garden and family space. Meanwhile, a widow in Swindon is leaving her beloved rose garden behind and starting a new cottage garden in a smaller space.

On the south coast he is presented with a front garden ravaged by salty winds, and in Snowdonia he helps a mountainside garden stuck between a rockery and a hard place.

In Doncaster, Nikki and John want a garden full of edible plants and fruit, but have a tiny budget and a busy life. In east London, Nicola and John want to create a model village and a seaside garden with little gardening knowledge.

In Dorset, a couple want to create an unusual Norwegian garden while in Bromley, another couple set out to create a peaceful Japanese tea garden.
