Xabi is a Basque notary who has dedicate his entire life to his work. He is a single man who really enjoys his routine, but everything changes when he receives news: a tumor in his head will kill him in less than three months.

Xabi is very happy. He has found Maria and she seems to be willing to give him a chance. Then with luck on his side, he prepares to fulfill his dreams and proposes to Maria to relieve their first date step by step.

Xabi has bought the Hotel Benidorm for her beloved Maria. He knows that, even if life took her on a different journey, in the end dreams come true, and Maria's dream was to run a hotel.

Xabi accompanies María to her home after another marvelous night when they encounter her son, Ricky, and she tries to prevent him and Xabi from meeting one another.

The Benidorm City festivities begin, so there are firecrackers and fire in Levante's community, typical of these festivals. Resigned to this, Xabi is only concerned about one thing, he has not said anything to Maria about his health.

After Xabi's accident, Tony was about to lose his millions. For this reason, he convinces his friend to propose to Maria. However, Candy starts to have real feelings for Xabi.

Xabi reaffirms his decision to have ended his relationship with Maria. That situation does not change his plan, the hotel is for her, so he sells her the business for a penny.

Candy is heartbroken to learn that Tony only proposed to her after learning she is a millionaire. Tony did not appreciate Candy until he lost her, so he goes to Xabi, looking for someone to support him in such a difficult time.
