Tensions flare when a pregnant inmate miscarries and almost dies in her cell. Young inmate Rachel is moved to her own cell when she is bullied by Shell & Denny.

Helen is determined to tackle the high level of drug abuse on G-Wing. She has learned that the prison's random testing policy is anything but, and she is shocked to learn that her POs test women they know are clean to avoid unnecessary paperwork.

Rachel is besotted with Fenner and asks him if they will still be able to see each other when she is released from prison. She gives him a love letter but he destroys it.

Zandra has decided that she wants to abort Robin's baby. Although Helen concedes that she's probably doing the right thing, she remains troubled by the inmate's motives. Handcuffed to Lorna and Dominic, Zandra is escorted to the clinic.

Helen investigates Rachel's death. Nikki attacks Shell. Dominic struggles to cope with the pressure of being a prison officer.

Dominic has his hands full with a new inmate, Jessie Devlin, a chronic alcoholic. After a period spent drying out, Jessie is moved to G-Wing where she is soon marked out as an easy target for a spot of bullying by Shell.

Lorna struggles under pressure from Shell until Dominic finds drugs in Shell's cell.

Shell has nobody to turn to when she is removed from enhanced. Monica's world falls apart when she gets tragic news about Spencer. Helen struggles to cope and falls into the arms of Nikki.

Shell manipulates Crystal into helping her get revenge on Lorna.

Helen battles with her emotions and leaves Sean. Monica attempts suicide the day before her appeal. Shell attempts to blackmail Fenner and sends a letter to his wife. New inmate, Yvonne Atkins, gains a strong following from the women.
