Fran Galdón's death in front of the police station comes as a shock for everyone. A terrible blow for the Galdón family and specially Teresa, who is certain Fran discovered something. She feels guilty, for involving Fran in her suspicions on the movements of the dry water machinery. Inspector Viñas leads this new investigation that points towards Abel Furtado, as main suspect of the murder. Mauro, on finding out, seeks revenge and asks Lázaro for Abel's life in retaliation. Abel is on the run, Viñas informs Inspector Saraiva, who sends out a search warrant. After burying his son, Mauro meets Lazaro, to begin organizing the next weapon trafficking operation. The family has been torn apart by loss and Irene, unaware of the ongoing operation, is planning a memorial to honour Fran, keeping a fragile Silvia close by her side. The police find a new stash of weapons in Fran's girlfriend's apartment, Leo's latest confession identifies Fran as the third member of the gang. This information inexplicably leaks to the press, the Galdón are assaulted by reporters as they walk out of the Foundation. Irene is furious, she has lost her son, her plans for Fran's memorial are crushed. When she finds out Mauro is behind this, havoc breaks loose in the Galdon home. She lies to be allowed to investigate in the company's records, it's for her University doctorate paper. Once she realizes she'll have to dig deeper into the records, Francisco, a computer hacker and old boyfriend comes in handy. Abel is in hospital, unconscious and under police custody, increasing the tension between Mauro and Lázaro. Viñas tells the Judge a new shipment from Galdón company to Africa is imminent, convincing her to give him a search warrant. But in the container, there is no trace of weapons. Viñas knows he's been misled. The container with the weapons has been taken to a nearby port to await the ship. With the mission saved, Mauro, tells Lázaro he's quitting. But Lázaro isn't having it. Abel is questioned by Saraiva. In the meantime, Lázaro receives a call from his confident in the police, Machado, Abel is being questioned. Time is of essence; he sends Tiago to finish the job. Saraiva finds Nuno dead where Abel told her, and discovers they have a traitor inside her unit, she manages to save Abel just as Tiago was about to kill him. Teresa needs answers she can only find in Vigo, where she meets Mauro. She needs to know what really happened to her father, unaware that Lázaro's gunman in on her trail.
