Episode covers Joseph Stalin's early life and his early political activities which resulted in his rose to power with the help of Lenin. October Revolution and Lenin's construction of new state; USSR is also included in this first episode. Other Bolshevik revolutionaries and political figures such as Trotsky also briefly introduced in this chapter.

1942.After blocking the Germans right outside of Moscow, Stalin now faces Hitler's second assault. The world's fate will be decided in Stalingrad. Like in Leningrad, men, women and children, plunged into hell, are sacrificed.

1944: the Soviets continue on the path to towards liberation. On the road to Berlin, they discover the horror of Hitler's extermination camps. Fifteen years earlier, Stalin transformed his country using every means at his disposal.
