Using the latest scientific techniques, our team of modelmakers, underwater detectives, and elite naval commandos investigate lethal weaponry of the past to solve the greatest mysteries of the ancient world's naval technology.

Looks at ballistic style weapons developed by the Chinese, Greeks, Romans, Huns, and Medieval Europeans. Several experts lecture about historical evidence or demonstrate how the weapons functioned using models and animation.

This program examines some of the ground breaking weapons that dominated the battlefield but also struck fear into the heart of the enemy. They include; Greek Fire, land mine, scythed chariot and Helepolis.

Uncover the ingenuity of the ancient engineers of the Far East, whose innovations would take shipbuilding to new heights and create some of the largest and most fearsome navies of the ancient world.

Although somewhat contrived, the thesis that New York was designed thousands of years ago illustrates the links between ancient technologies and the technologies that make our cities work today. The ancient technologies that are the foundations of the Statue of Liberty, scaffolding, water management, movie theaters, time keeping and sports stadiums are depicted in the program.
