Members of Preston's Territorial Army 2 Section are heading for a weekend exercise in Abergwen. Eric is planning a charity quiz night but best friend Hodge has got a new girlfriend; Laura and once again he left out in the cold.

Ally's husband Frazer was a family friend with whom she ran off to marry when she was younger. While Ally is working with the TA at the Roker Show, he attempts to find his younger self by joining the Civil War re-enactment

Eric gets a job dressing up in a dragon costume helping to promote Mr Yang's Chinese Restaurant. He gets the perfect chance to impress trainee teacher Dawn and her class but things don't go well when he sets off the fire alarm.

Lloydy is working as a dogsbody for local businessman Mitch Maddox. Looking to impress his clients Maddox buys an expensive Coy carp from Japan. When the fish dies en-route Lloydy needs to get a replacement fast.

Diesal's brother Lenny has a big idea to promote their garage, by spending £600 on a church spire. To win back Laura, Hodge has to confess about his secret daughter. Lloydy leads the troop on a search for a secret stash of money.

While Hodge is on exercises in Germany with the TA, Laura is booked to perform at a Scarry's Biscuits promotion in Blackpool. When Kirsty recognises Hodge's picture Laura thinks the worse leaving Jeanetta to tell her the truth.
