Ace pilot Jack McGraw is recruited by a woman from his past to defend the world against the supernatural threat of an occult society. He is reunited with his comrades from the war and put in command of an experimental airship.

The Daedalus crew encounters a group of sky pirates over the Bahamas, whose captain is a friend of Jack's. When Freetown is bombed by the super-zeppelin Luftpanzer, the combined crews fly to defend it, only to have the giant ship vanish.

The crew discovers a map to a shipwreck in the home of a dying voodoo priest. After nearly avoiding death by dynamite and crocodile, they locate a mystical artifact - guarded by a legendary sea monster.

After battling "rocket-zombies" and crashing into the jungle canopy, the crew encounters the Tree People of the Amazon, joining forces to thwart Aleaister Crowley's diabolical summoning ritual.
