Paying tribute to one of the seven wonders of the world located on its land, the international host of ABU Robocon 2010 Egypt designs its challenge on the predictable theme - 'Robot-Pharaohs Build Pyramids'.

A symbolic ambiance of the Egyptian monuments is created at Balewadi Stadium, Pune for the teams coming from all over India to compete in National Robocon 2010.

Reiterating its commitment to cooperation among broadcasters affiliated to Asia Pacific Broadcasters Union and inculcation of scientific temperament among the youth, India inaugurates its National Contest scheduled on 4th to 6th March.

Robotic competition opens with 44 teams entering the competition arena along with their robots, to build the symbolic pyramids; some from top engineering institutes of the country and others from the humble ones from remote areas.

Action continues on the second day of the contest with all its exciting hits and disappointing misses. Trials and errors in pyramids building alternate with triumphs and euphoria, thus arousing a variety of emotions among one and all.

An elite audience comprising young and veteran technocrats and representatives of corporate world get an enthralling experience of watching display of engineering talent and creativity by young students.

4 out of 8 teams that qualified for quarter finals enter the semifinals. Better synergy between men and machines brings two teams from Pune face to face for the final fight.

Maharashtra Institute of Technoloy, Pune emerged the proud winner of a keenly contested battle against rival finalist Vivekanand Institute of Technology, Pune.

Victory in National Contest backed by well coordinated efforts of engineering students from mechanical, electrical and electronic streams makes Team MIT 'Bhartiya Sangh' - The Team India.
