Jin Sun-mi, as a young girl she can see what others can't. She befriends two what she believes to be fairies, Son Oh-gong and Woo Hwi-chul, which in real are an old god and a demon, she strucks a deal with the demon to get a contract with the god to protect her from the monsters she sees, tricked by the mischievous god he steels her memory of his name leaving her alone in a world full of evil to fend for herself. Jin Sun-mi meets them again in the future and much to her dislike she is taken by the spirited Son Oh-gong and yearns for his protection. What she don't know...

Jin Seon Mi goes to get help from Woo Ma Wang by going up on stage and performing. He agrees to help her with Son Oh Gong but it will involve them tricking him into wearing a magical bracelet since he will not help her willingly. In the meantime Jin Seon Mi and Lee Han Joo are looking at an apartment that they believe has a supernatural problem when Jin Seon Mi disappears. Lee Han Joo informs Son Oh Gong when he comes to Jin Seon Mi's office and Gong rushes out to look for her.

After O-Gong comes to save Seon-Mi they find out how the Geumganggo works. Frustrated by his feelings for Seon-Mi, O-Gong tries to reason with himself and plans on having Seon-Mi take off his bracelet. Elsewhere we see the missing dead girl comes to life and make her way towards Seon- Mi.

Devil King and Seon-Mi sign a contract for the help he gave her and will give her as long as she hunts down evil spirits and he gets the credit to become a deity. O-gong brings the Zombie home causing more friction between him and Devil King. He lets Richie stay in order for her to find out her identity. Seon-Mi starts to hunt down a spirit while in search for Richies past.

Devil King is going to be honored with an award after donating a film at the museum where items donated have spirits attached from their previous owner. One of them is a vicious Japanese girl who disappears into Devil Kings film. Ma lets the Devil King know and he enlists the help of Seon-Mi over the objections of O-Gong. They go into the film to find out the spirits secrets but in the process we also learn a little more about the Devil King's past.

Ma tries to help the Devil King after he has side effects from drink Samjang's blood by going to the general store but when this doesn't work she tries extreme measures to help him. General Winter tries to help O-Gong get rid of the Geumganggo but O-Gong comes up with excuses for why he isn't able to go forward with the plan. Seon-Mi notices one of her clients strange behavior and realizes she needs to go after another spirit.

Devil King tries to set Seon-Mi up with a human causing O-Gong to get upset and try a desperate move. A prince from the ocean world comes and starts to cause problems for Devil King who enlists Seon-Mi and PK's help after the prince decides to posses one of the Devil King's pop stars. The prince needs help finding a mermaid and he asks for Devil King's help but also ask O-Gong to help in secret to get revenge for the mermaid knowing Devil King would not agree.

Seon-Mi goes after an evil spirit that targets people through social media by posting harsh negative comments. Seon-Mi posts pictures to get attention from the spirit which instead targets Han-Joo. Devil King's plan for O-gong fails so instead he tells Seon-Mi about the sauces that O-Gong made which causes another rift between them and getting her closer to Johnathan. Richie's death is also revealed when she comes face to face with her killer though she does not recognize him.

Seon-Mi is excited after the bell rings for her not realizing that she does not have the love bell but the death bell. This makes her hopeful for her future with O-Gong. There's an evil spirit stealing children's soul and the Devil King is asked to help despite the fact this brings up issues from his past with the Queen Mother. He agrees to help and relays this information to Seon-Mi. Seon-Mi, again, learns something disturbing about O-Gong that is upsets her.

The fulfillment of Seon-mi's wish to be ordinary has far-reaching consequences on not only O-gong but also Devil King Woo, Richie and even Pal-kye.

An assailant attacks Devil King Woo at a torch relay. Richie prepares to say her goodbyes. Ms. Ma finds out that a black bell has gone missing.

O-gong realizes that the Geumganggo has the power to take his life. Kang Dae-seong devises a plan to get rid of his annoyances altogether.

Asanyeo pursues what she didn't achieve more than 1,000 years ago. Aware of Devil King Woo's weakness, she decides to use it to her advantage.

Relentless in her desire to be stronger, Asanyeo orders General Winter to get her incense burner back. Seon-mi mentions the love bell to O-gong.

To avoid exacerbating the dilemma regarding Asanyeo, O-gong must pretend not to know the truth, and General Winter must be found as soon as possible.

In an uncanny dream, a woman shows O-gong the moment that Samjang was born. Asanyeo demonstrates what she's capable of doing for Kang Dae-seong.

O-gong refuses to accept his and Seon-mi's fates. Devil King Woo wants to believe Asanyeo despite others' warnings that he's being deceived.

As O-gong prepares to sacrifice himself in place of Seon-mi, Devil King Woo, feeling sorry for both, tries to solve the mystery behind the Geumganggo.

While Seon-mi is away at the Lotus Village trying to figure out exactly what her mission is, O-gong hurries to begin the ritual to summon the dragon.

Both the Spiritual Realm and Devil King Woo try to get O-gong to come out of Sureumdong, where he's shut himself in after the fateful day.
