48 Hours investigates issues surrounding day care a growing concern for millions of parents across the United States. It looks at examples of successes and failures in the day care systems and also looks at the dangers inadequate regulation, abuse and neglect.

48 Hours investigates the debate over gun control by examining the controversy over an referendum in Maryland that has caused serious friction between pro-gun and anti-gun lobbyists. It examines why some people are seriously concerned over gun sales and gun safety while others are worried about their gun rights being taken away.
