Trini gets stranded in the desert as she runs out of gas. Marc visits Roy Lee Jackson and the New York Mets baseball team and learns about using communication between the pitcher and catcher. Lisa visits a school for the deaf and learns how to communicate by sign language. In addition, there is a song on how many ways to say "I Love You."

Trini is still stranded in the desert until rescued by the Goodyear Blimp, Mark visits Bell Labs and sees how a talking computer works and how our voices work, Lisa shows how a TV program is made and sent to an old cathode ray tube TV (with the help of a song).

Trini visits University of Tennessee where a scientist teaches orangutan how to communicate in sign language. Mimes in action doing some movements. In addition, some artifacts that will be sent to the Voyager I satellite into outer space as far as the planet Saturn. Also, The Bloodhound Gang in "The Case of the Dead Man's Pigeon." Lastly, highlights of Trini stranded in the desert.
