Kishori Shahane was born on Apr 23, 1952 in India. Kishori Shahane's big-screen debut came with Maza Pati Karodpati directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar in 1988. A career of 25+ years, Kishori Shahane has acted in over 70 Marathi films and a number of Hindi films and television serials. First born in a Marathi family, she later married into the Punjabi family of filmmaker Deepak Vij. Though she entered the world of acting as a child actress, Prem Karuya Khullam Khulla along with Ashok Saraf, was her debut film as a main actress. She was just 16 when chosen for this role. Before she got a graduate degree, she had done over 20 movies. There was a small break in her career, when her son Bobby was born, but now she soon resumed acting and is regularly seen in films. Her role with the natak Moruchi Mavshi became very popular.
