Jacqueline McKenzie was born in Sydney, Australia. She is a multi-award winning, classically trained actress of stage and screen. A graduate of the acclaimed National Institute of Dramatic Art ("NIDA") she is known for her chameleon-like ability, moving seamlessly from theater to television and film.McKenzie made her film debut in Geoffrey Wright's 'Romper Stomper' (1991), alongside Russell Crowe. Her role was reprised 17 years later for the TV series of Romper Stomper, commissioned by STAN. She won awards for both. She is known for her roles in Pine Gap (2018), Romper Stomper (2018), Les 4400 (2004), Angel Baby (1995).McKenzie's hobbies include painting, singing, composing/recording music. Past musical collaborators include Vic Levak who co-wrote "Shy Baby" and Jim Hayden. When her 4400 co-star, Joel Gretsch, heard her song "Shy Baby", he took it to the producers of the show and as a result, it was used in the second-season finale "Mommy's Bosses"[56] of The 4400. "Shy Baby" went on to be included in The 4400 soundtrack CD, released in April 2007.
