Avan Jogia was born on Feb 09, 1992 in Canada. Avan Jogia's big-screen debut came with A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story directed by Agnieszka Holland in 2006, strarring Danny Araujo. Avan Jogia is known for Twisted directed by Gavin Polone, Avan Jogia stars as Danny Desai and Maddie Hasson as Jo Masterson. Vancouver native, Avan Jogia landed his first acting role as Danny Araujo on the award-winning TV movie drama A Girl Like Me: l'histoire vraie de Gwen Araujo (2006), directed by Oscar nominee Agnieszka Holland. Jogia followed up with a recurring role on the SyFy Channel hit series Caprica (2009) as well as becoming series regular role the CW's Aliens in America (2007). Recently receiving notice amongst a wide audience with his lead role as Beck on Nickelodeon's Emmy nominated series Victorious (2010), Avan can now be seen as Danny Desai on ABC Family's Twisted (2013).Having a special interest in youth human rights and equality, Avan lends his support to many charitable organizations: as a Peace First Ambassador for Peacefirst.org, host of the PBS series "Reel Works," and founder of the national charitable organization Straight But Not Narrow.
